First off, thank you to all who have donated to our fundraiser! We really appreciate your support and generosity. Although $4,000 has been raised, we are still a long ways from our goal. In order for us to have any hope of reopening in a new location (fingers crossed because we’ve found a great location–with parking!), the bakery needs at least $75,000 to cover the costs of building a new kitchen. With only three weeks left at 1001 Mass Ave., time is ticking! If you or someone you know appreciates our products, please consider visiting our fundraising page at http://bit.ly/1pTCUVw . Without the proper funds, Violette Bakers will be closed for good after August 24th. Thanks again for your support and we hope to keep Violette Bakers in Cambridge for years to come!
Also, please note that many things we make can be frozen. If you’d like to stock up, please make sure you place your orders by 8/17. We will be closing our doors at 1001 Mass Ave on 8/24 and even if we are able to pull off this new space, we will be closed for at least 5-6 weeks, optimistically speaking. Our goal would be to get our kitchen up and running in that time so we can go back to the farmers markets, even if the bakery itself isn’t open yet.
FYI, Cookies can be purchased baked and frozen or unbaked and frozen into portion sizes for you to bake at home!
