Despite the market cancellation, our lasagna was such a big hit that we decided to make more so that we could actually bring it to the market, rather than selling it all from our kitchen. In addition to Leeseteffy’s recipe of 25 years, we are also making a meat version that is Caroleen’s favorite. Both have a bechamel as well as a red sauce. It comes  fresh frozen so you can stock up. Pairs well with the fresh garden greens and wine from one of the Somerville Winter market vendors!

If this menu looks familiar its because it is last week’s menu which we never baked. Don’t forget to try our sweet cheese brioche with Deborah’s Kitchen’s new Cherry preserves–super yummy! :

Cookies: 

  • zimerstern (German almond paste cookies)  Owl shaped
  • milanos (chocolate, chocolate-clementine, chocolate mint) heart shaped cutout
  • sugar cookies with Peppermint sugar coating
  • french macarons (rose, salted butter caramel, infinitely chocolate with bitter chocolate and fleur de sel chocolate chips, sheep’s brie and quince paste.)

  • Gf/dairy free (df) soups:  cream of butternut squash & fresh ginger,  roasted parsnip &  apple soup and creamy garlic soup. If we have time, we will make again the  cream of tomato herb cheddar (contains dairy).
  • savory sm brioche with mushrooms and onions
  • squash, apple and blue cheese muffins  (pairs well with soup!)
