Glad you are liking our new location!

You kept us hoping last week, and we are excited to keep adding new items for your eating pleasure. This week we will add Cream of Spinach Soup by the cup or the bowl to our repertoire. We will have bagel sandwiches available Weds – Sat. and our regular sandwiches too.  Danielle, our head chef is working on an Eggplant Parm Sandwich. She’s from a family of traditional Italians, her dad was from Italy. So this will be a great sandwich!

We will have a Tasting this SAT from 11-12:30ish

IMG_1017  (click on link to see video of space) Don’t want to commit to our curated items without tasting them first? Always miss out on tastings because you can’t have the bread? Come experience the real deal at Violette! We will have tastings of 3  olive oils, tapenade and jams with our sourdough or challah bread.

Then there is chocolate to taste, and to die for almond butter and flavored almonds. We love these things and we are positive you will too.

We also have cute Valentine’s Day boxes that you can make your own curated V-Day gift for your loved ones choosing from our curated wall , or regular Violette items.  Made exactly to your and your loved ones preferences!

Saturday Special

While you are browsing, you can munch on SCONES, which is our Sat Special this week. Blueberry-Blackberry, Maple Pecan and Cherry with a whiff of Rose. I confess, scones are one of my favorite Saturday Specials. They are low key, but somehow are the perfect comfort food. I feel happy eating our scones and drinking a cup of coffee or tea, and i think you will too. Hey, you can even try some of our jam on your scone!

Update about the Family we are sponsoring

The Good News is, the application is in. Now we just have to wait for the very slow USG to process. It will take a minimum of 6 months before the family arrives, and could take a lot longer.

The  very very sad news. Zenab died last week. She was only 24. But she wasn’t getting the dialysis she needed. Only 3 times a month rather than 3 times a week. That’s why i did the fundraiser for the dialysis in December. Lack of dialysis took a toll on her heart. She needed both valves replaced. UNHCR would pay half (US$7K) but the family had to pay the other half, which was impossible. I spoke with the Jordanian hospital and the doctor and asked them to work out a payment plan with us, as we were applying for them to migrate to the USA, but the hospital wouldn’t. The doctors told Zenab a week before she died, she would die if they didn’t replace her valves. And then she did. Rasha (25), her sister who cared for Zenab for last 13 years, is understandably devastated.
