What’s Baking, Week of July 19th

A reminder that we are open on Tuesdays now!  Preorder from our Menu . Or simply come on in to buy what catches your fancy in the moment.

This week’s Sat Special is Pop Tarts! (Blueberry, Cherry-lime and Boston Cream). And Donuts are the week after! Did you know our Pop Tarts and Donuts freeze well? So, stock up so you can have your morning Pop Tart or Donut fix every morning!

Also on tap this week are Mixed Berry, Peach and Strawberry Rhubarb pies! Quintessential Summer!  Summer is the only time we will be having Strawberry Shortcake, so if you love this summer treat, now is the time to sink your fork into our strawberry goodness — one of my favorites. For party planning we have large size Fruit Tarts, No Sugar Added Chocolate Hazelnut Tarts and Cheesecake. Just remember we need a week’s notice for these items. Being short on bakers means we have to carefully plan out our bake week. Lastly, don’t forget savories. Our pizza is delicious second day eaten cold. Empanadas can be baked off and frozen and popped in micro for a quick lunch or dinner. Ditto our Lemon Ricotta Zucchini Tarts, and they are a summer only special and are to die for.  All come with full cheese or DF or Vegan.

Gluten Free Baking in St Bresson, France!

If you’ve written to us expressing interest in our baking class in France in July 2023, we’ve sent you a questionnaire to get a better sense of how you would like to see the week organized. The most likely dates will be July 2-8th, with a check in date for accommodations July 1, check-out July 9. This is after school ends in the Boston area, but before the crush (and high prices) of high season in Europe. We’ve had a surprisingly strong response, so if you are really interested, please stay abreast of our news and answer the questionnaire. Once we have a better sense of the logistics that people prefer, we will be able to price out an actual cost for the week, and open for sign up. Given logistics, we will have a finite number of class slots available.

Our garden is in full bloom. Even many of the Dahlias are blooming already.  So we’ve been candying flowers like crazy to stock pile for when gardening season is over.

Saturday Special:

As mentioned above, The SATURDAY SPECIAL this coming week  is Pop Tarts. The week after is Donut Sat, which some scrumptious offerings available.

Seasonal Items Now on Menu!

Lemon Ricotta Tart (savory, comes in dairy or vegan.) Angel Food Cupcakes with house made lemon curd center and a dollop of rose cream (DF). And our Viennese Lemon Poppy Bundtlettes!

Deadlines:

ORDERS MUST be in 2 days before/3 days for Frosted Cakes. Our order platform closes at noon each day.

Deliveries are Thursday and Friday late afternoon only and Sat. Please do not request an early delivery on Thursday or Friday. We can ask, but typically, the delivery people can not accommodate an earlier time.
