What’s Baking (week of Jan 1, 2013)

Lots of fruity desserts and savories this first week of 2013. We are baking light–in smaller batches this week– so if you have a hankering for something in particular, please preorder via email and ask us to put it aside!

Cookies: 

  • Norwegian Lemon cookies (contain almonds) (possible we will substitute the german almond instead!)
  • chocolate brownie cookies
  • French macarons (Meyer lemon-rose buttercream, apricot cheesecake, mint chocolate, quince paste and cheese)

Cupcakes: 

  • lemon poppy seed cake with creamy curd center and lemon-rose french buttercream
  • pumpkin chiffon topped with mascarpone (lighter than cream cheese) and lavender honey
Other:
  • pot pies (veg, dairy free veg, veg & cheese, veg & chicken) (personal and family size)
  • coconut-dark chocolate bread pudding/pumpkin bread pudding
  • dark chocolate brownies with homemade elderberry marshmallows
  • mixed berry crisp
  • brown butter apple crisp
  • triple ginger tea bread
  • cranberry-orange bread
Cakes:

  • sweet cheese brioche with raspberry, cherry, or Confiture de lait de brebis (made with sheeps milk in assorted flavors)
  • English muffins
  • cheddar loaf
  • French bread (plain and with olives)
