It’s been a real New England Spring, hasn’t it? Last I looked we were going to have weather in the 70’s for the next week, and then this afternoon my neighbor said Nope, now it’s rain and more rain for the next week. Sort of a bummer, although I personally don’t mind rain, if it doesn’t turn to snow and ice. Nevertheless, we are in full SPRING mode at Violette Bakers and starting next Sat you will be able to get some of our Summer pastries. We’ve posted our Mother’s Day Menu and it has Eclairs, Cream Puff’s, Strawberry Shortcake, Fruit Tarts , Strawberry Sponge cake and so much more! We will also have Donut Holes for that weekend. 5 flavors! We made some for a special order this week and they were a hit with everyone. A perfect 3 bite treat!
Just a reminder that several items will be leaving/have left the menu and not returning until Fall or next winter. These include: carrot cake (cupcakes or cake), ginger cookies, thin mints, vegan bundtlettes, pot pies. So stock up! All of these items freeze well. We have a half doz pot pies left and they last if frozen, so if you love these, hop on it and grab them.
Sat Special is Cinnamon Rolls, plain or with Maple Pecans (DF)
The Bread this week is Sourdough (plain or olive) (vegan) and Challah (DF), Loaves or rolls.
Tea Bread (DF) is Banana with Chocolate Chips or Banana with walnuts. Muffins (DF) are Cherry-Walnut, Peach Crumb or Peach with Pecans.
