Mail Ordering is in the Trial Stage!

We sent out our first mail order package yesterday. A 38 lb package cost $30 to ship to Barre VT  with UPS. UPS offers next day anywhere in New England (excluding weekends), all the way down to NYC. We will trial to see if that is true!

This coming week we will send out some items to various people for input on packaging and condition of goods upon arrival. Excited to be sending product from our dedicated gluten free bakery! If you want to be in the queue to have one of these trial people,  and you live in the New England to NYC area, send us an email at info@violettegf.com. Let us know your name, address, phone number, email. You can tell us if you are vegan or DF, but otherwise, you get what we send. And you must promise that you will give us detailed feed back and send us photos. We are trailing a variety of size boxes, and packaging materials, including cold packs. And a variety of products. Existing customers get priority.

We are even trialing a frosted cake! Dibs already taken on that

We are also working on getting the UPS app to work seamlessly with our Online Square App to calculate shipping costs. At the moment we are hand inputting the information.

What would you like to see on the menu in terms of Saturday Specials? Also for Rosh Hashanah? Any bread you’ve been missing? Should we change the vegan chocolate cupcake from Mint Chip to something else? Now is your time to influence what we will offer next month!

Saturday Special

The Sat Special this week is Sweet and Savory Brioche! These puffy filled delights freeze extremely well. Just pop into the microwave for two 25 second bursts right from the freezer. They will seem like they just came fresh from the oven. Stock up because we might not have these for awhile, as we will likely add donuts back to the menu once Leesteffy is back.

Bread

In our dedicated gluten free bakery, Sourdough (vegan) and Ancient Grain (multi grain with pumpkin and sunflower seeds) are up to bat this week.

Wedding

We now have a whole section on Wedding cakes. With lots of photos. We are not able to make any modifications to our cake recipe, except in limited circumstances with large wedding cakes.

Deadlines:

Deliveries are Thursday – Sat. We can ask, but not promise, a Weds delivery if you tell us a week before.

General notes:

If you are trying to call us and we don’t answer, send a text if it’s during regular business hours. For DELIVERY just chose pick up and make sure you’ve added Delivery City to your cart and put name, address, cell phone in Special Instruction box.) For all orders, you will get a  TEXT confirmation immediately after placing your order. If you do not receive a text with your order number you order did not go through.  Remember, we are a dedicated gluten free bakery.    Order here.
