Wow, summer is almost over. But perhaps the warmth will extend into fall. Personally, though fall is beautiful, I find it the hardest season. Perhaps its because it seems a long way away from Spring, my favorite season. In winter, by December 21, I have the feeling that with each day Spring is drawing nearer. Fall, on the other hand, always makes me feel me feel like Spring is far away, and hence, sad. I know, i’ll never be a true New Englander, with New England’s love of Fall!
One more week until we do the drawing for our social media campaign (mostly Instagram). Post a photo of your recent purchase and get entered into a drawing to win a prize. This month the prize is 4 donuts, next donut day, which is Saturday,Sept 5th (Labor Day weekend.).
The Saturday Special is Pop Tarts! Blackberry-Lime or Peach. Both are DF. If you want VEGAN pop tarts, please order them by Weds 8/26. We will have Vegan by preorder only (preorder minimum is $25–no minimum at window.)
Pie (DF or Vegan) Pie this week is Shaker Lemon, with crust or with meringue. Or Raspberry-Mango with crumb. The small vegan pies are Blueberry or Strawberry Rhubarb, both with crumb.
Bread (DF or Vegan) is Bagels and Challah (loaf or rolls.) With Bagels if you buy a dozen, you pay for 10 and get 2 free. Bread is available this week Weds-Sat. Tuesday we will have Challah, as usual. We will have crackers this week, in limited supply. Our crackers sell out uber fast, so good to preorder if you love them.
Pastry will include our cream puffs, Strawberry shortcake and our fresh fruit lemon curd tarts.
Tea Bread (DF) is Peanut Butter, plain or with chocolate chips. We will have Lemon Poppy OR Blueberry-Lemon Crumb Muffins this week.
