Let’s hope that Groundhog was wrong. I read he is wrong 50% of the time. Ba hum bug to winter. I’m ready for Spring. I am growing a large selection of edible flowers to use on cakes, cookies and maybe even brownies. I have an indoor grow system that I built, and have already started planting seeds on varieties that need a long grow time. Can’t wait!
Valentine’s Day is next weekend, and we have you covered for all of your loved ones, whether it’s Heart cookies, or other tasty treats. Our Valentine’s menu is up and for next week only, we will have Strawberry Shortcake, Cream Puffs, Eclairs and so on.
The Cheesecake was a big hit and sold out fast. The No Sugar /Keto friendly version is suitable for diabetics. The only sugar is a tiny bit of 70% organic dark chocolate in the crust, which is made with half unsweetened chocolate and half of the 70%. The cake filling is made with monk fruit sweetener.
Next, I will trial CHOCOLATE Croissants to see if i can come up with a version that is a close approximation to a wheat based one. Fingers crossed.
New Soup this week is Butternut Squash. I have a recipe i’ve been making for 30 years that is Oh So Good. People love it and i’m sure you will too! It will replace the Cream of Broccoli, which clearly was a favorite — but time to change things up.
The bread this week is English Muffins and Challah. Bread is available Weds-Sat. We will have Challah on Tuesday, as normal.
The Tea Bread this week is Strawberry-Rhubarb Crumb. Muffins are Pumpkin, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip or Banana Nuts.
The Saturday Special is Scones, Strawberry-Rhubarb (DF), Apple Spice (DF) and Chèvre with Sundried tomatoes (DF available).
