Happy New Year, everyone! First I want to point out new hours during the week for at least the month of January, given that we are short staffed. We will open at 10 and close at 6pm Tues-Friday. Hope that doesn’t cause anyone problems!
2021 has been a little chaotic (to say the least), but there is so much good news to look forward to. Although the full roll out of a vaccine in MA in the near-ish future is a big plus, i’ve also been reading that it’s not full proof and that the effective rates are not a straight math calculation (not to mention that some people may chose not to get vaccinated.) Given that our space is very small, and after speaking with my staff, we are going to keep our set up the same for the foreseeable future, even after vaccine rollout in MA. Because of this, we are likely going to install an ADA compliant dutch door type system, which will help immensely both you and us, as we will actually have a “window” to come to. This will also help us keep the heat and cooling in. (Our electric bill over the summer was out of control and our cooling system took an expensive beating.) Lots of steps to get to that point, but stay tuned.
We are starting off slow this week and working up to have a full compliment of soups, pot pies and other savories. If you have a favorite soup let us know. Our soups are always DF/vegan. Stay tuned for this week’s soup flavors once I speak to our suppliers about availability! (Most likely Cream of Broccoli and either Cream of Tomato or Cream of Mushroom — any votes??? ) January also marks the return of Girl Scout Cookie Season and our own Slim Mints.
The Tea Bread this week is Mixed Berry, plain or with nuts.Muffins are Apple Spice, plain or with nuts.
Bread is English Muffins(Vegan) and Ancient Grain (DF). Challah (DF) will be available on Tuesday.
The Saturday Special is Cinnamon rolls (DF), plain or with maple pecans.
