January at Violette – A Fresh Start for 2026

We’re back, rested (mostly), and ready to shape a better 2026 with all of you.

2025 was a challenging year for so many small businesses, and we are grateful beyond words for your continued support. We’re entering this year with optimism, creativity, and a renewed commitment to making Violette even better.

We do have a few lingering 2025 “hangovers.” A recent front-of-house hire didn’t work out, so we’re actively rebuilding our team. In addition, Leesteffy is undergoing ongoing cancer treatment, which means some weeks are stronger than others for her. Your patience, kindness, and good energy when you visit truly make a difference—and your prayers and positive thoughts are always appreciated.

We are currently accepting applications for Front of House (Tuesday–Saturday, 1:00–6:30 PM).

This Month’s Menu Flow

Our menu is always designed as a carefully balanced dance—matching production timing, staffing, and energy levels. That’s why we’re starting January with bagels, followed by DONUTS, including Tiramisu Dixie Donuts, and then easing into a lighter final week.

This allows us to keep quality high while making sure we don’t overload our mornings or our team.


Some Changes for 2026

Bagels Are Now a Weekly Treat

Instead of just one Bagel Week per month, bagels will now be available every Friday by preorder, with limited quantities in-store as well. We’ll still feature a dedicated Bagel Week monthly, just like our Donut Thursdays.

If demand grows, we may expand to more days.

A More Focused Menu

We’re slightly streamlining our offerings so we can rotate favorites more often while staying sustainable. Chocolate prices remain extraordinarily high (over $12–$13 per pound!), so rather than raise prices, we’re being strategic about how often we use it.


Pop-Up Location Search

We’re actively looking for a permanent pop-up partner location. We would bring our own pastry case and staff it, starting with Fridays and Saturdays.

We’re looking for an existing business—market, deli, bakery, or similar—that could benefit from our customer base and where we can help share space and rent.

Top location priorities:

  • Boston (Back Bay, North Station, South Station, Southie, South Boston)

  • Also open to: Newton, South Shore, North Shore, MetroWest

Pop-Tarts are back!
Flavors:

  • Strawberry

  • Mixed Berry

  • Apple Cinnamon

And yes—they’re vegan.

We’ll be making a slightly smaller batch this month, so if you have favorites, be sure to preorder early.

  • Challah (Dairy-Free) – loaves and rolls

  • Bagels (Vegan) – assorted flavors

  • Gluten-Free Sourdough – made from our 17-year-old starter

All freeze beautifully.

Deliveries run Wednesday through Saturday.
This is not on-demand delivery—if you need a specific time window, please inquire in advance.
