Hope everyone had a peaceful New Year’s. At the bakery, we all had a week off and i think everyone mostly rested and relaxed, except for me. I unpacked all my things that have been in storage for nine years, now that i have more living space. Reaquainting myself with these things felt like rediscovering a lost part of self. Books, photos, art, furniture and odds and ends that I loved and somehow held a little part of me. Sounds voodoo, but its true. Now i feel fortified to face 2020. Whatever it may bring.
I brought some pot pies home for the week and i have to say, they are delicious. I usually eat the vegan one and find it completely satisfying, although I do tend to have a small salad with it. We have plenty in stock, so come on in. Organic free-range chicken and veg, Veg, or Vegan veg. Small or Man-sized.
Our Slim mint cookies will be back in stock by the end of the week! We have them during the months that Girl Scouts sell their cookies. We are working on another variation as well.
The bread this week is Challah (loaves and rolls) and English muffins.
The Saturday Special is Sweet or Savory Brioche
The Tea Bread is Mixed Berry with or without pecans. Muffins are pumpkin with or without chocolate chips.
Reminder, we have challah every Tuesday and then our bread of the week Weds-Sat. No preorders of challah on Tuesday, its first come, first serve. Please remember we cannot accept phone requests to hold bread, any day of the week. If you can’t make it in early, please Pre-order by 12:00 noon the day before.
