The new menu is posted. One question, did people like it when I posted the whole month for items like bread, Sat Specials, Tea Breads, etc? I thought it confused people based on the number of people who contacted me to say they couldn’t order something that wasn’t available for the date they were trying to order. People, we all need to take the time to read. Our Social Media world has gotten us away from critical thinking and basic reading — all to our detriment. So if you *liked* knowing what was ahead for the month, let me know because i’m happy to continue posting a month at a time, if it doesn’t confuse people!
We’ve started talking about our Valentine’s menu. We are thinking cream puffs, strawberry shortcake, and small, 2 layer strawberry shortcake cakes made from sponge. We will also have at least 3 assortments of heart cookies. If there is something in particular that screams Be My Valentine!, let us know.
Two new items we are trialing right now are croissants and cheese cake. If we ever get them right, you will be the first to know!
We are making soup on Tuesday. Cream of Tomato and Cream of Broccoli. I live on soup in the winter and these classic soups from old family recipes are fabulous. Please don’t order this before Weds.
The bread this week is BAGELS and Teff bread. We have bagels about once a month, so stock up! Bread is available Weds-Sat. We will have Challah on Tuesday, as normal.
The Tea Bread this week is Peanut Butter, plain or with chocolate chips. .Muffins are Apple Spice, plain or with nuts or banana with nuts or chocolate chips.
The Saturday Special is Sweet or Savory Brioche. Both are available in full cheese or DF.
