Its bagel week and we have REFORMULATED our pizza crust a tiny bit. I have soft teeth and I thought the edge of the crust was too hard to chew. So we’ve fixed that problem. We did 3-4 trials and everyone agrees the new version is perfect. And can be reheated easier as well. I should have done this awhile ago!

We have entered the heat of summer. We are fully stocked on ice cream sandwiches, which have been flying off the shelf. If you haven’t tasted one of our ice cream sandwiches, come on in! We have organic full milk ice cream, Dairy free and vegan versions. Did you know that most ice cream (yes, from your favorite high end local ice cream stores) have corn syrup? We are a corn syrup free bakery, so the organic ice cream we buy has no corn syrup. 

We  have been swooning over the Sorrento lemon curd we’ve been making–it is so good! Tangy, lemony, perfect. It is in our fresh fruit tarts and our angel food cake. Try it, you’ll love it.

If you like a not too sweet, fruit spread, try our Cherry-Rhubarb Rose. It is low sugar and made with honey and maple syrup rather than cane sugar. Next week we will also have Blackberry-Rhubarb Lavender (also made with honey not sugar), which i had on Marthas Vineyard over our summer break and it was to die for. Again, its not sweet, so if you like sweet jam, these choices aren’t for you, but if you love low sugar, tart, flavorful fruit spread you’ll love this. I’ve eaten a few jars worth this week with no guilt, because of its content. ☺️

Reminder, we have challah every Tuesday and then our bread of the week Weds-Sat.  No preorders of challah on Tuesday, its first come, first serve. Please remember we cannot accept phone requests to hold bread, any day of the week. If you can’t make it in early, please Pre-order  by 12:00 noon the day before.

Our Sat Special this week will be PopTarts! Cherry-Rhubarb and Cinnamon-Pecan.

Note, we have new parking spaces. There are three spaces right when you go into the alley parking lot where the zip cars used to be. The three spaces on that end are ours.
