Pi Day 3.14

Come get your pie for Pi Day. We are open this Tuesday, 3.14 just for you Pi(e) Lovers! Noon – 6pm. Three kinds of pie (large and deep dish for 2). Mixed Berry (vegan), Cherry with Crust (DF) and Chocolate Pecan (DF).  Pie season doesn’t officially begin until June, so if you love pie stock up. Our pies freeze well –precooked or cooked.

We will have Green Baileys Irish Cream Cupcakes this Week

For St Patty’s Day, come on in and feast on our chocolate cupcakes with Baileys Irish Cream french buttercream, made green this week with our organic food based colorings. If you order a cake with the same frosting, it will be green as well, unless you tell us otherwise.

More Donuts this Saturday!

Zeppole di San Giuseppe, an Italian donut traditionally made just ONCE a year for St Joesph’s Day (March 18th). These are a real treat. Brioche style donuts filled with our house made pastry cream and  doted with Amarena Italian Cherries. Our Head Baker grew up having these each year, so these are the real deal. Best to preorder. But if you’d rather have your donuts at 9am, just come to the window to purchase instead.  Order pick up is 10-4. We aren’t making as many as we would for donut day. So these will sell out fast. Don’t tarry — get your orders in or set your clocks to get up early.

Easter Menu is Posted!

And it’s jam packed with incredible choices. Our Easter Cakes with DF house made German Chocolate filling or Lemon Elderflower, if you prefer Vanilla cake. Topped with green grass and house made organic Easter Chocolates. Cake-wise (Easter is all about cake, right?) we will also have French Apple Cake, Strawberry Sponge Cake, Tiramisu, and Flourless Chocolate Cake. Pie-wise, we will have Peach Cobbler and Strawberry-Rhubarb. For Breakfast we will have Blueberry-Lemon Buckle, and Breakfast Brioche. And then of course the cookies. Sugar and Zimtstern Bunnies and Chicks. Not to mention our Easter Quiche with Asparagus and fresh tomatoes. The bread that week is Sourdough and Challah.

Passover Menu is Posted!

New! We trialed leavening-free sponge cake last week and it works! So, we will have leavening-free Sponge cake for Passover this year. Both Strawberry Sponge and Tiramisu! In addition, there is everyone’s old favorites: Flourless Chocolate cake (and cupcakes) and Orange Almond Cake — both grain free.  Cookie-wise we will have French Macarons, Flourless Peanut Butter cookies with Chocolate Glaze, and Zimtstern in the shape of an apple. While these offerings may not be traditional, they are gluten free, fun and delicious.  And I have to say (immodestly) whenever i’ve brought my non-traditional gluten free passover desserts to a dinner, there rarely are leftovers.

At the window, the only things one will be able to buy is cupcakes, cookies, bread, savories and Saturday Specials. Some items, like pastry, will only be available one Saturday a month, or for large catering orders. Many cookies at the window will come pre-packaged in larger quantities.

Deadlines:

Deliveries are Thursday – Sat. But, if you want a delivery on Weds, please email us so we can ask the driver.
