Donut Day Sat March 11 🥰
What’s not to LOVE about hand crafted GF yeast donuts in yummy flavors. Glazed, Maple Glazed (NEW), Pistachio Cardamon Rose (NEW), and Blueberry (in the dough — think fritter, but with a hole in the middle.) These are not your cake-thrown-in-a-pan-and-baked donuts — these are the real deal (in case you haven’t tried them.) Melt in your mouth delicious.
Always best to preorder. (Preorder pick up is 10-4), but if you just have to have a donut by 9am, come on to the window to purchase instead. Our donuts tend to sell out fast, so don’t expect any left if you come meandering in the afternoon.
Hearty Grain Sourdough Bread this Week
Our Hearty Grain Sourdough has no rice, millet or GF oat. Instead it has teff and buckwheat, in place of these 3 items. It is a formulation I made for myself because I have developed sever reactions to rice and oat, and millet affects my thyroid. But it has quickly become a customer favorite. It is a stronger tasting bread, more like a German sourdough, whereas our regular Sourdough is lighter (whiter), like most American Sourdough. The Hearty Grain is also darker in color. Available to preorder or come in to purchase in person.
Have you tasted Our New Pizza?
Our Seasonal Spinach and Mushroom pizza has a super yummy Creamy Red sauce with a kick of garlic. It is similar in style to a vodka sauce. Try it. You’ll like it!
Easter Menu Coming Soon!
I’m going to be posting the Easter menu in the next week or so. If you have items you really want, please email me at info@violettegf.com. Otherwise, i’ll put together a menu that I think sounds good. And yes, i do have good taste 😂 but sometimes people want specific things for their holiday, and since celiacs can’t just go out and buy anywhere, we aim to make sure these more specific pleasures are met!
Remember, having Customers Preorder is our Goal
At the window, the only things one will be able to buy is cupcakes, cookies, bread, savories and Saturday Specials. Some items, like pastry, will only be available one Saturday a month, or for large catering orders. Many cookies at the window will come pre-packaged in larger quantities.
Deadlines:
Deliveries are Thursday – Sat. But, if you want a delivery on Weds, please email us so we can ask the driver.
