We hope everyone has a joyful and safe Mother’s Day tomorrow. We appreciate you letting us be part of your celebration. We are a little tuckered out from all this “fun” we’ve been having during the pandemic, and have decided to take an extra R & R day on Tuesday May 19th. Just giving you the heads up, that we will be closed Sunday-Tuesday that week. That week will be a bagel week, so we will have bagels Thurs-Sat the week of May 19th.
The strawberry shortcake proved to be a fan favorite! But it was neck in neck with the chocolate eclairs. The cream puffs came in third, but in fairness to them, we didn’t put them on the menu. If was just random if you came to the window, there they were. We’d love feed back on the DF versions. Its our secret from scratch recipe and we think the DF cream is pretty tasty. Hopefully Mom actually got to enjoy it. I know at least one person said she was tempted to eat hers in the car! Don’t fret if you missed out, we will be offering cream puffs and eclairs this week. Which sensational item will prevail in a more fair race this week!?
It’s also time for new frosting flavors. Maple Pecan and Blackberry are sure to impress! Feel free to give us a shoutout regarding your favorite flavors. You just might see them on the menu in upcoming weeks.
This week our SAT Special is Pop-tarts. We will have blackberry and apple. YUM!
Tea bread this week is Lemon Poppyseed. Muffins are Banana-peanut butter, plain or with chocolate chips.
Bread is sourdough, plain or with black olives and Oat bread. Available Weds-Sat. Bread can be preordered at least 24 hours in advance for Weds-Sat, or you can come to the store and try your luck. We have Challah every Tuesday for walk in or pre-order.
Here is our grocery list for the week. We plan based on what suppliers tell us they have, and then sometimes they run out. 🤷♀️ Please remember, grocery items don’t count toward delivery minimums. Thanks.
Other ADD ON ITEMS for DELIVERY can be found at Nussli118 website. They are up the street from us, and we are delivering their items to our customers (as an Add ON to order, not counting toward our minimums) as a courtesy. They need a little LOVE in these trying times. My favorites are her Golden Milk Smoothie and the Pear Cardamon granola.
Also, if you are hankering for some Asian take out food our next door neighbor, Chalawan, has a GF menu. I haven’t eaten there since they rebranded, but its the same owners and the staff and I have eaten from their old menu lots of times. They too, need a little LOVE these days. They have delivery and pick up and are literally, right next door. Here is their GF menu:
