It’s another hot weekend. I personally love the cooler rainer days, and so does my garden.
We will close next Sat at 3 due to staffing issues.
We are having to make more operational changes because we are really struggling to keep up with your enthusiastic buying. We really appreciate all the love you show us, but we are so understaffed that its getting harder and harder. And the core staff is the same staff that was here throughout the pandemic, working crazy hours, never once closing for even a week. And we are really, really tired. So, we’ve changed the timing for ordering. Regular orders need to be in 2 days before at noon. Cakes 3 days before. We cannot accommodate special requests at this time. I can’t tell you how many people have written this week asking for cakes and other things at the last minute. We don’t have the staffing to do it. I’m very sorry. In order to do even as much as we do, we have to really plan ahead, and we just can’t cope with last minute requests. Hence the longer lead time for preorders. Too many people were ordering at 11:30 on Friday for Sat, when we had already planned out how much we were making for Sat. Which sends the staff into a stress spiral.
On to the good news, its Donut Sat! We have some yummy flavors: Glazed, Raspberry Glazed with Belgian White Chocolate Drizzle and a Lemon Curd filled one with a dollop of Rose Cream.
Deliveries are Thursday and Friday late afternoon only and Sat. We’ve opened the app for those three days, but please do not request an early delivery on Thursday or Friday. The delivery people can not accommodate. Like everyone, they are short staffed.
