What’s New this Week!

Our June Menu is up. Don’t forget we are closed (as usual) from June 30th, reopening July 12th. We can’t do any orders while we are closed (believe it or not, people ask us to!)

We have several new things on the menu. Angel food cupcakes with lemon curd filing and a dollop of rose cream on top (DF). Lemon poppy bundtlettes, Small Fresh Fruit Tarts  (feeds 2), Lemon-Ricotta savory tarts.

Our Everything Lemon Curd class is coming up in 3 weeks. You don’t want to miss this opportunity to expand your summer desert and holiday dessert repertoire! You will go home with both angel food  cupcakes and fruit tarts. But there are so many things you can use lemon curd for, so sky’s the limit in that regard. And ours is DAIRY FREE. But no one will know.

We have a special donut this month, fresh strawberries with cream. Also Boston Cream donut. And because of the way the month falls, there will be bagels twice, at beginning and at end.

Cakes!

We have 8 wedding cakes to make this month, plus other special celebration cakes, so if you want a cake, DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MOMENT. We may not be able to accommodate last minute requests cake-wise this month. Please plan ahead.

Breakfast Special

We will have our Yummy French Toast this Sat. It comes with Vermont Maple Syrup and you can get eggs with it or fruit and whipped cream. It’s made with our thickly cut Challah. And you can get it Dairy or Dairy Free.  Yes, we know we had French Toast recently, but we had to rearrange the Sat Specials/Breakfast Specials because some weekends we have 2 wedding cakes and can’t do certain items (like donuts or bagels) on those weeks!

Summer Classes

We are offering three classes this summer. These would make terrific Mother’s Day presents! The first is All Things Lemon Curd, offered on Thurs, June 20th 6-9. Just in time for your July 4th celebrations. You will learn how to make fail proof lemon curd, angel food cupcakes, which we fill with lemon curd and top with rose cream, and lemon curd fresh fruit tarts. Class limited to 8 people.
On July 20th (Sat) 2-5, we are offering a class on Converting Your Favorite Recipes to GF. In this class you will learn important principles to be able to convert most recipes to a successful GF version. Class is limited to 8. Each person will submit ahead of time 1-2 recipes they want to convert. We will choose a few to work on to teach you how to trial a recipe conversion. Even if we don’t trial yours, everyone will walk away with a beginning suggestion for converting your fav recipe.
On August 24th (Sat 2-5) we will have a Cake Decorating class. In this class you will learn how to make yummy frostings, and crumb coat and finish a 3 layer frosted cake. We will also teach you how to candy flowers to use in decorating. Candied flowers can last a year of more, so you can keep them on hand for when you make cakes. Limited to 8. Everyone will go home with their own small 3 layer cake. .

Deliveries are WEDS- SAT. This is not “on demand delivery”. If you need an exact time of delivery, please inquire first.
