What’s New this Week!

The November Menu is up! As is the Thanksgiving Menu. We are traditional when it comes to Thanksgiving. We have all your old favorites, including our Coffee Poached Pear Cranberry Sauce, which is divine. Plus a few new things. One, the Chocolate Cream Pie we’ve been trialing the last few weeks. Customers have loved it. It starts with Chocolate ganache, that a light and smooth Chocolate cream, topped with a cream cheese/whipping cream topping and slivers of chocolate. This pie is FULL of Dairy. (Sorry DF peeps, maybe next year.)

Also new this year is our Corn Bread. You can buy it plain, with cheddar and DF Cheddar with our new Rebel Brand Vegan Cheese (contains cashews). Its also available plain in a tin pan (feeds 6).

We will also have our Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls for Thanksgiving. You can buy already baked, or in a 6 pack to bake at home.  The Corn Bread and Cinnamon Rolls are only available Tues and Weds of Thanksgiving Week. Everything else is available Starting Nov 20th.

We will be updating our Mail Order Menu this week to include Thanksgiving Items!

New Item

We will be carrying Rebel Vegan Cheese (in case you saw them on Shark Tank — which i did not.) I don’t know how i heard of them, but when i went to Austin Texas last week, I went to Rebel and fell in love. We will be carrying the following seasonal flavors: Cave Aged Brie (tastes like the real deal), CaveAged Tuffle Brie, Herb and Tomato Fromage (taste testers favorite –tastes like pizza!), Balsamic, fig and walnut Fromage. Pepper Jack, Gruyer, and Smoked Cheddar.  We hope to have them available by THIS Friday. They contain cashews and miso (soy).

If you missed our Day of the Dead Cookies, we will have some next week, they are uber cute.

Saturday Special

This week is Sweet or Savory Brioche. These puffy clouds of challah like bread are filled with honey mascarpone (or our vegan cheese for DF) and house made jam. They freeze really well, and can be eaten by popping into the microwave for 30-40 seconds direct from freezer. You probably should stock up on these babies.

Weekly Bread

Challah  (DF)  and Sourdough (vegan).  Our two most popular breads are on tap this week. Now is the time to start buying to cube for your Thanksgiving stuffing!

Christmas Cookie baking class where you can convert a favorite Christmas cookie recipe?

We’ve had only 3 people respond they are interested. We’d have to hold it on Nov 16th as that is the only date available due to the holidays and our schedule. If you are interested in this class, please email us at info@violettegf.com.  We need at least 6 to hold the class.

Gluten Free Baking in France.

We are very close to launching our Gluten Free Baking course. Possibly even today. The class menu will include sourdough boules and loaves, Challah, pizza, 3 kinds of eclairs, several Specialty cakes, converting your favorite recipe, cake decorating and much more. The field trips will include wine tasting at vineyards around Pic St Luc and going to a Saturday open market in Uzes. We hope to have someone come to teach yoga some  mornings and a map of local hikes. The class will take place in a more than 500 year old stone village in the Occitanie region (formerly the Gard). The price will include the class, the housing and all meals, except lunch in Uzes. Class this year is limited to 20.  For Non-professionals only

Deliveries are WEDS- SAT. This is not “on demand delivery”. If you need an exact time of delivery, please inquire first.
