I’m crying in my cake because Summer is effectively over next weekend, but the good news is Fall flavors are coming! Not this week (boo to Starbucks who purportedly started Pumpkin Lattes last week), but soon. Donuts are this Saturday!. Then we will be closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, so staff can have the three day Labor-celebration as well. So the week of Sept 8th, we will be closed on Tuesday, Sept 8th. Also looking forward, we will have Round Challah, plain or with raisins by preorder only, for Rosh Hashanah (Sept 18-19th). We get swamped with last minute orders, so please make sure you get yours in early, just in case we have to cut off orders. We are putting them on the menu now for that reason.
We announced our winner of this month’s social media raffle on Instagram and Facebook. So now we start over until next Donut Day. Post a photo and comment of your recent purchase and get entered into a drawing to win a prize. Please make sure you do it in such a way that we can add it to our Story.
The Saturday Special is Donuts! Boston Cream, Cinnamon-Sugar, Blackberry-Raspberry glaze. ALL DF. If you want VEGAN donuts we can do the Cinnamon-Sugar and the Blackberry-Raspberry by preorder only. (Preorder minimum is $25–no minimum at window.) Our donuts are yeast (brioche style) donuts. They are super yummy, if you haven’t tried them.
Pie (DF or Vegan) Pie this week is Shaker Lemon, with crust or with meringue. Or Raspberry-Mango with crumb. The small vegan pies are Blueberry or Strawberry Rhubarb, both with crumb.
Bread (DF or Vegan) is Sourdough with Rosemary and OAT (both loaf or rolls.) Bread is available this week Weds-Sat. Tuesday we will have Challah, as usual.
This is the Last week of most of our pastry items!!!! Pastry will include our cream puffs, Strawberry shortcake and our fresh fruit lemon curd tarts. The only pastry item we will have after Labor Day is Chocolate Eclairs. (Ok, at Christmas, we will have Cream Puffs again.) We are also at the end of our Angel Food Cupcakes with Lemon curd and Rose cream. So stock up if you love them. (Pumpkin Bundtlettes will replace them after Labor Day.)
Tea Bread (DF) is Raspberry, with Chocolate Chips or Walnuts. We will have Peanut Butter with Chocolate Chip Muffins this week.
