Preorder from our Menu . Or simply come on in to buy what catches your fancy in the moment.  WE ARE CLOSeD, Tuesday Sept 7th

What’s New, What’s Gone

The menu for September  is up! Including Rosh Hashanah Challah. These round challah, which are a bit bigger than our regular challah, need to be preordered. Please don’t wait until the last minute to order as we have had to cut off orders in the past.  They are round and come in plain or raisin.

Apple Fritters are on the menu (under donuts) for the end of the month. They will definitely sell out, so don’t snooze on preordering them.

Angel food cupcakes, lemon poppy bundtlettes are both gone, now replaced with carrot cupcakes and pumpkin bundtlettes. Soon to be gone (this week) are the Lemon Ricotta Tarts and the Pizza with Spinach, Caramelized Onions, Mushrooms and Gouda cheese. Stock up if you love these items! They will be replaced with Fall favorites.

Strawberry Shortcake, Cream Puffs, and Fruit Tarts are gone for the season. We will bring some of them back for a few weeks at Christmas.

Ice Cream Sandwiches are still available while it’s still warm. Then we will retire them for the season.

In the next week or so, we will bring back our Ginger Cookies, a customer favorite. Bonus, these are Vegan!

Now is the season when we start rolling out our Thanksgiving pie flavors so people can decide what they want for the holiday. This week we will have Apple Crumb. Also available is blueberry and strawberry rhubarb (soon to be gone), and Mixed Berry, in small size only.

Gluten Free Baking in St Bresson, France!

Those of you interested in the baking class in France, can you please email me  (info@violettegf.com) to let me know if you do/don’t eat meat, dairy or are vegan? We will be planning out a menu for pricing purposes with the chef, when ! go in three weeks to hash out more details for our trip. I’m a non-dairy eating 35 year vegetarian. I eat pasture raised eggs/preferably farmhouse eggs and a tiny bit of fish, and I still have delicious meals in France. So don’t worry if you have a limited diet. Trust me, few people have a more limited diet than me!

Many French still use baskets to shop (lol, I bring my Trader Joe’s bags), but no worries, if you want to engage in this delight, you will definitely be able to buy a basket there. The markets still have open air food, post Covid, but now there are plastic shields in place, similar to the USA.

After my trip in October, we will post pricing, with housing options, and extras options. Again, given logistics, we will need to limit the class to 30 people.  Sincerely interested? Please keep abreast of developments as they are announced.

Don’t forget we have Fresh Flowers for your Special Occassion Cakes!

Our garden is in full of outrageously beautiful Dahlias.  We’ve continued candying flowers like crazy to stock pile for when gardening season is over.
