First, I want to introduce our new Turtle Brownie. It is a chocolate brownie, with DF salted caramel on top, a layer of pecans and dark chocolate drizzle. Staff swooned when they tried it. I’m often asked if we have DF or Vegan Salted Caramel products, and because our regular French Salted Caramel, full of cream and butter, is to die for, i’ve always said no. But I got it into my head the other day to try to make the recipe DF/Vegan and it was a hit! I asked staff their favorite caramel combo, and they said Turtles! So our Turtle Brownie was born. We think it will be our most popular brownie.

I know with our recent 70 degree weather, COVID living and the craziness of politics right now, it seems like Thanksgiving is far away, but in fact, it is in TWO WEEKS.  We have found that the pandemic is causing everyone to delay acting, and then people pile on with orders when the holidays are upon them. Last year we ran out of many pie flavors. This year our suppliers have supply woes themselves. On very basic items.  (Yesterday when I checked, our one Rep said they were out of stock on 20 items his customers had ordered for the day!) So please do not delay ordering for Thanksgiving. We order supplies and bake based on our orders! We will be putting in our Thanksgiving supply order THIS WEEKEND.

For those of you who don’t know what Zimtstern are  (On our Thanksgiving menu) they are a chewy almond cookie. They taste like ginger but they have no ginger in them. They are a TOTAL CROWD PLEASER. And our favorite cookie. We make them only during holidays. You have to taste one to find out for yourself how good they are! Sadly, i don’t have any photos of the Turkey or Pumpkin shape but i will endeavor to take photos this year.

As per usual, as soon as bagel week passes, we get a pile of requests for bagels. We now know we won’t be having bagels again until the first week of December (right after Thanksgiving). But we will have CRACKERS next week, starting on Weds. We’ve had a lot of people asking for Crackers for Thanksgiving, so best to either preorder or come on Weds if you want to stock up. We won’t have crackers again until Mid December.

Don’t forget we have super scrumptious donut flavors this week. The staff and i think the Maple Pecan is our best flavor yet!
