That snow was a real bummer this week, wasn’t it? I hated seeing all the Spring flowers bent over, even today with the snow gone. Hopefully, it’s gone until next winter! Nature can be so cruel.
Just a reminder that several items will be leaving the menu and not returning until Fall or next winter. These include: carrot cake (cupcakes or cake), ginger cookies, thin mints, vegan bundtlettes, pot pies. So stock up! All of these items freeze well.
The Sat Special is scones, and the savory scones are back. I have to say, the DF caramelized onion scone was FAB! I don’t eat diary, so i can’t personally attest to the one with Chèvre but my staff says that one is excellent too.
Ice Cream sandwiches have been a strong seller this week, despite the cold! We have several yummy flavors.
If you are thinking ahead to Mother’s Day, we will have all of mom’s favorite summer items, including, Angelfood cupcakes with lemon curd, Fruit Tarts, Cream Puffs/Eclairs, Strawberry Shortcake. We will also be making the Strawberry shortcake cakes — layers of sponge, organic strawberries cream (or DF equivalent) topped with drizzled dark chocolate. We probably will have donuts that weekend for Mom as well, so if your mom has a favorite, send us your suggestions!

The Bread this week is Sourdough (plain or rosemary) (vegan) and Teff (DF), Loaves or rolls.
Tea Bread (DF) is Peach Crumb or Peach with Pecans with walnuts or Chocolate. Muffins (DF) are Lemon Poppy, Blackberry-Lavender Crumb, Cherry-Chocolate or Cherry-Walnut.
