Good News: We’re Staffed! 🎉
After a very difficult few weeks, we have hired for both Front of House and our Farmers Markets!
Our bakery hours are still temporarily shortened to 5:00 p.m., but we’re hoping to return to our regular hours soon.
A Note About Saturday
Saturday may be a little different.
Sukari has been doing doubles since we were ghosted by staff, but she can’t do a double this Saturday. And since it’s Donut Day, Leesteffy will be in the kitchen starting at 5:00 a.m.
Leesteffy has also been very carefully calibrating her workload to protect her health, and a 5:00 a.m. start making donuts doesn’t translate into being able to work straight through until 6:00 p.m.
So we may close as early as 3:00 p.m. this Saturday.
If you’re planning to come after 3:00, please text the store first to make sure we’re still open.
And now for some very exciting news…
Come Bake Bread With Leesteffy in Austin! 🥖
Leesteffy is planning a three-day bread course in Austin, Texas, September 25–28.
She had hoped to offer an October class, but with
so much happening in Austin during October, accommodations and travel become considerably more crowded and expensive.
The class will begin Friday evening, when we’ll start our sourdough so it can ferment overnight, and finish Monday afternoon.
And this is a BIG bread class.
Over the course of the weekend, you’ll learn to make:
🥖 Sourdough Loaves
🥖 Sourdough Boules
🥖 Sourdough Baguettes
🥯 Sourdough Bagels
🍞 Challah
🫓 Focaccia
And, if we have time:
English Muffins or Sourdough Pizza Dough
We’ve never offered this much bread in a single class before—and we’re not sure we’ll do it again.
The Details
September 25–28, 2026
Austin, Texas
$1,200 per person
Limited to 10 people
Two spaces are already committed.
The class will be held at Leesteffy’s 3,400-square-foot double geodesic dome home, with four gathering areas and plenty of room for a class of ten.
And when we’re not baking? There’s also a 13-foot-deep swimming pool. ☀️🏊
If you’re traveling to Austin, Leesteffy can accommodate approximately 3–4 class participants in the house for the three nights. Lodging will range from $350 for a shared room to $800, depending on the accommodation.
You can see the house here:
As always, our classes are designed for home bakers. Participants will be asked to sign an agreement that Leesteffy’s recipes will not be used for a commercial enterprise.
If you’re interested, reach out ASAP. With only ten spots—and two already spoken for—we expect this one to fill quickly.
