Weekly Update: Teff, Brioche & Farmers Markets!
Good News for Our Oat-Allergy Customers! 🎉
For the last few weeks, we’ve been testing Teff in our sourdough bread, bagels and pizza instead of oat, and we’ve gotten a great response.
So we’re making the change!
That means all of you with oat allergies can now enjoy our sourdough bread, bagels and pizza! We are very excited to be able to make these available to more of our customers.
This Week’s Bread 🥖
This week is Challah and Bagel Week!
Our staff favorite bagels are Rosemary Sea Salt and Black Olive. We can’t seem to agree which is better, so you’ll have to decide for yourself.
We’ll also have a limited number of sourdough boules on Friday and Saturday for walk-ins only.
Saturday Special: Sweet & Savory Brioche!
This Saturday we’re doing four different sweet and savory brioche:
🧀 Chèvre Cheese with Seasonal Vegetables
🍓 Raspberry with Mascarpone
🫐 Dairy-Free Sweet Cheese with Blueberry
🌰 Caramelized Nuts — Dairy-Free
Something sweet, something savory, something dairy-free. Or just get one of each. We won’t judge. 😂
We’re at BOTH Farmers Markets This Week! ☀️
We’ll be back at both Copley Square on Friday and Roslindale on Saturday.
We’re going to try to bring some of our fresh brioche donuts to BOTH markets this week—but we can’t promise!
If we manage it, quantities will be limited, so come early if donuts are part of your plan. 🍩
Test Your Food for Gluten — Anywhere
We have a NIMA machine, which lets you test food for
gluten anytime, anywhere.
We’re considering becoming a distributor, and we’re also thinking about keeping a model at the bakery that customers could borrow for a few days before deciding whether to buy one.
That way, you could actually try it in your own life—at restaurants, while traveling, or anywhere you’re uncertain about whether food is safe for you.
If you’re interested in borrowing a NIMA machine to help keep yourself or your loved ones safe, email us at info@violettegf.com.
If there’s enough interest, we’ll make it happen!
See You This Weekend! 💛
Whether you’re coming for challah, bagels, brioche, sourdough—or you’re stalking us through Boston in hopes of finding a donut—we’ll see you at the bakery, Copley or Roslindale!
