We will have donuts for the Sat special this week. You can preorder or come in the morning to purchase at the window. We have DF and Vegan varieties.
We have produced a cheesecake we are happy with. I trialed it the last few weeks. It is a French style cheesecake so it is lighter and fluffier than many NY style cheesecakes. I can’t actually eat dairy, but Danielle, our Italian head baker, loves it And that’s high praise because for every holiday her large Italian family has cheesecake and Ricotta pie. As soon as we get our small cheesecake pans we will put it on the menu. We will have small (3″, which are small, but not the smallest cheesecake size) and then 7″. This week we will have plain and topped with a tart Mixed Berry Compote. Stay tuned. I imagine we will get our pans by weds, so maybe by Thursday or Friday we will have cheese cake.
Valentine’s Menu is up!
We have THREE kinds of Soup! We blasted thru the Cream of Broccoli so will make another batch before moving on to a new flavor. We also have Cream of Mushroom and Tomato soup. All are fab and come in pint or quart sizes.
The bread this week is Sourdough and Oat. Bread is available Weds-Sat. We will have Challah on Tuesday, as normal.
The Tea Bread this week is Cherry-Rhubarb, Banana Nut or with Chocolate Chips and Blackberry-Orange. Not all flavors are available each day, so please be flexible. Muffins are Blueberry Crumb, or Banana with Nuts or Chocolate Chips.
The Saturday Special is DONUTS! Raspberry Glaze (DF), Coconut-Lime (DF) and Boston Cream(DF). We have vegan in Raspberry and Coconut-Lime and then also Chocolate Glaze. Our donuts are all brioche donuts, and are super yummy! (And popular, so get your order in!)
