Thanks for Coming In!
Thanks to everyone who came in to enjoy our Breakfast Offerings: French Toast, Bagel Sandwiches and Scones! It was nice to see the tables full and the hum of voices of people meeting up with old friends and new.
Next Saturday we will have Eggs Florentine. I choose this because Eggs Benedict, Florentine etc, is the quintessential brunch treat that, like French Toast, I can never have. Even if a place had good GF bread (unlikely), these items are always made with butter, cream and milk — which I personally, can’t eat. And I know many others with celiac or gluten intolerance can’t either. So we will again have a DF version and a full dairy version for your breakfast dinning pleasure!
You will also be able to get Breakfast Bagels (sorry, bagels will only be available for breakfast sandwiches). And of course DONUTS. Next Sat we will have Zeppoles! This is a brioche donut, split in half and stuffed with pastry cream and Italian cherries. We have these once a year for St Joseph’s day. Actually, this year we will have them on Sat the 16th AND on St Joseph’s Day on Tuesday the 19th. We will have LESS THAN HALF our normal donuts on Saturday, and about a forth of normal total on Tuesday. So best to preorder if you don’t want to come before 10 on Sat or noon on Tuesday. Or miss out altogether.
You are continuing to give us the highest praise for our Eggplant Parm (particularly from Italians!) and our various sandwiches. 🥪🥰
CHECK ✅ WE SUCCESSFULLY shipped several large cakes and cupcakes out last week. 🎉 So we are now investigating what mail order platform to use. It will likely be Shopify. What do you want to see on our mail order menu? (Which will be way smaller than our regular menu). Orders will be sent out by overnight mail Weds and Thurs in the New York/New England area. Other areas will be 2 days. We are only shipping out a distance of 2 days to start. Stay tuned.
Pi(E) Day
Don’t Forget PI(E) Day next week. We have 4 yummy pies, in personal and regular size. Cherry Crumb, Mixed Berry, both vegan, Chocolate Pecan (DF), and a Full Dairy Salted Caramel Cream Pie. We won’t have pies again until late June/July. So Stock Up on Pi(e)!
