General News

Leesteffy will be bringing HONEY back from France — though not as much as usual, because she’s also hauling back tableware for the farmers markets. So if there’s a flavor you really want, email us now. She’s buying this week.

We are now just 10 days out from the opening of the Copley Square Farmers Market — Boston’s oldest farmers market. We’ll be there every Friday beginning May 29th.

And yes — you may preorder through our regular ordering platform and have us bring your order to the market free of charge. Simply choose the $0 delivery option and write “Copley Market” in the Special Instructions box. Please note: your order must be placed for a Friday pickup.

We are still looking for ONE part-time employee 🧑🏼‍🌾  for Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The position includes a mix of front-of-house work and farmers market prep (frosting cupcakes, baking cookies, packing market orders, etc.), plus one day at the Roslindale Farmers Market.

The position requires availability for all three days (every other Sat is ok as well), plus access to a car for market transportation. Mileage and vehicle use will be compensated separately.

If interested, email your resume to info@violettegf.com and tell us why you think you’d be a good fit.

Our May motto remains:

Stay calm, eat cake.

Pies

We are kicking off summer this Memorial Day weekend with two favorite pies:

  • Mixed Berry
  • Strawberry Rhubarb

Both so delicious we truly can’t decide which is our favorite.

And don’t forget — Memorial Day weekend is the traditional time to plant seeds and tender perennials. Our team (haha, Leesteffy) will be getting the rest of our plants and seeds into the ground the moment that plane touches down.

We love how much you love our flower offerings.

Saturday — Focaccia!

Perfect for your Memorial Day weekend picnic (excellent for sandwiches) or as a hearty snack after a long day in the garden.

  • Sundried Tomato and Herb
  • Black Olive and Rosemary
  • Blueberry with Orange Zest

Freeze beautifully. Stock up.

Bread

Challah — rolls and loaves

Dairy-free

Sourdough — rolls, loaves, boules

Made with our 17-year starter • vegan

Load up — everything freezes beautifully if you like keeping a little on hand.

Bagels

Now offered every Friday by preorder, with a limited number available in the shop.

We’ll continue our monthly bagel week, with the possibility of expanding as the season unfolds.
