What’s New this Week!

We have our French Honey back in stock!

We have Lavender, Thyme, Garrigue  and a new flavor Pan d’Epices! The latter tastes a little like our pumpkin bundtlettes.  We brought back just a small sampling of that one, and will bring more in July.

We also brought back Bulk French Organic Chocolates. Dark Chocolate covered Almonds and Hazelnuts, and Milk Chocolate covered Almonds. You can buy as little or as much as you want, just like in the bulk section of other stores. You can even mix and match because they are all priced the same. So you can create a confetti of chocolates in a bag. Perfect for snacking or gift giving.

And then there is the French Tea. . . . SOOOO many flavors to choose from. All from Palais des Teas. We are  selling it by the hot cup of tea (not in bulk). Come on it to delight your senses. Their teas smell  fabulous. We brought back various types of Green, Black, Rooibos and Herbal. We definitely have something for everyone!

Gluten Free Baking Class in France.

It’s about 6 weeks until the Gluten Free Baking Class in France.  We have TWO spots left.  Sunday night we kick things off with a little cocktail party for the class and those who live in the village. During the week, between classes we will go wine tasting / picnic-ing at Domaine de Blancardy (trust me, this is a place you want to have a destination wedding!)  and spend the day in Pezanas, after going to its wonderful open air market in the morning.

You will regret if you don’t sign up. This is our last year of doing this class, as Leesteffy will be retiring in 1.5 years and moving on to other adventures in Europe full time.

New Items:

Bake it Right. Last week, Jala worked on sourdough biscuits. The flavor was good, but she thought they were a little dense. I gave her suggestions to make them lighter and fluffier. She will do a second iteration tomorrow. We are working on posting the series of experiments on IG.

We sell our freeze dried (100% GF, no modified wheat) sourdough starter. You can also buy our bread flour in 12oz packs to feed your starter and getting it really well fed, happy and healthy. Both come in resealable packs. Both are available preorder, in person and mail order.

Saturday Special  

Cheese Danish! We haven’t had these in awhile. These scrumptious delicate pastries are filled with a sweet cheese or sweet vegan cheese and low sugar jams.The dairy version comes in Mixed Berry and Apricot. The DF version comes in Strawberry and Blueberry. They freeze well.  The DF cheese is almond based.

Don’t forget our BAGEL SANDWICHES. Be one of our regulars who come in EVERY SAT. for a bagel sandwich! Jala is a master at developing awesome sandwich flavors. Come on in.  We have a monthly rooster of rotating sandwich flavors, Dairy, DF and vegan!

Weekly Bread

This week it is TEFF and CHALLAH. TEFF is an ancient grain, originally from Ethiopia, and is the GF flour that tastes most like wheat. The Challah is soft and fluffy just like wheat based egg bread.  Preorder, or take your chances in the store.
