5 more days to get your Thanksgiving orders in!

Almost everything on our menu travels well, for those of you heading out of town.

Deliveries Thanksgiving week are Tuesday and Wednesday.

Pies can be purchased frozen ready to bake if you prefer to bake on the day of. Just write FROZEN in the special instruction box under the pies you want frozen.

Pick up Monday is 11-6. Tues 10-6 and Weds 9-3. We close promptly at 3. Every year, there are a few people who forget to pick up their orders. Please don’t be one of those people. We won’t be open again until the following Tuesday!

The Thanksgiving menu is available starting this Friday. Except as otherwise noted, like the breakfast specials which are only available as noted.

Bread

It’s BAGEL week. Please get your orders in EARLY as it is a very hectic week for us. We have bagels one week a month. Also, Please note that BREAD for next week is under Thanksgiving Menu rather than under bread. And that Challah and Sourdough are available THIS week Friday and Sat by Preorder only. Otherwise, the bread for the week is Bagels and Oat bread.

Cakes

We are not taking any frosted (special occasion ) cake orders for Thanksgiving week, except for Monday. We already have several for Monday and will cut Monday cake orders off if we get a few more. Otherwise, please order cakes you want for Thanksgiving for pickup this Saturday. Our cakes will stay fresh for a week.  No special design requests this week or next. Thanks for understanding!

Delivery

We have a new delivery driver who was supposed to start last week, but then he got covid. He is starting this week. He is a taxi driver, but this is first time he is delivering food. Our delivery is a no contact delivery only. We only deliver to front door/vestibule/lobby. He says he prefers delivering earlier in the day, so expect deliveries by noonish.

We are completely booked for this course. We are now accepting people for the Waitlist only. If you really wanted to go on this trip but couldn’t commit yet, the waitlist is your best option. 31 people are signed up. To get on the wait list just email us at info@violettegf.com, and say please put me on your waitlist. Please specify if you will have anyone traveling with you not enrolled in the class. (Some accommodations are for 1 person only.)

It’s shaping up to be a great group of people attending. Some time after Thanksgiving, but before the Christmas rush, I will be organizing a Zoom meet and greet and answer session for those who have signed up.

Saturday Special This week

The Saturday special this week is Scones! Blueberry-Blackberry. Cranberry-Orange (my favorite!) and DF Smoked cheese with caramelized onions and mushrooms. These freeze well. So easy to take them from freezer and pop in microwave for 30 seconds. Preorder or come to the window on Sat morning to purchase.

Deadlines:

Deliveries are Thursday – Sat. If you want a delivery on Weds, please email us so we can ask the driver. a

General notes: If you are trying to call us and we don’t answer, send a text if it’s during regular business hours. For DELIVERY just chose pick up and make sure you’ve added Delivery City to your cart and put name, address, cell phone in Special Instruction box.)
