Given the number of customers who must remain in their homes 100% of time due to underlying health issues, we are adding delivery. Please have patience with us as we get it up and running. For now we are doing delivery Thursdays and Fridays 11-3. That could change quickly depending on the developing situation. Here is how it will work:
- Place an online order AT LEAST 24 hours in advance.
- We will send you an invoice you pay online. Please pay it promptly if you are asking for delivery within 48 hours so we can get your delivery scheduled. Otherwise, we will have to push out your delivery.
- For delivery, there is a minimum order of $50 within Cambridge or 3 miles from Bakery, and $75 elsewhere.
- To start, our delivery fees are as follows below. We are only trying to cover the cost of delivery (which we are guesstimating at the moment!), so fees may be adjusted later up or down. It mostly will depend on how many people from your area are ordering delivery. We are paying delivery person hourly and he needs a livable wage + cost of using his car. We are sharing his delivery services with another small business near us.
–within 6 blocks of bakery $5
–Elsewhere within Cambridge or within 2 miles of Bakery $12
–Somerville to Rt 95, Arlington, and most areas of Watertown and Belmont $15
–Brookline, and Some areas of Boston and Newton $20
–Other areas, please inquire. Again, pricing will depend on number of people in area ordering. The good news is there is no traffic these days.
