What’s Baking, Week of April 21

Missing in Action!

I realized I haven’t sent out a newsletter in 3 weeks. Yikes.

The good news: my cancer is gone. Zip. No ctDNA, even. 💛

The treatment was hard on me though, so I’m slower at everything right now. And while I was sick, I was virtually renovating my stepmom’s house in Austin, Texas—designing all the changes and picking out everything, from structure to finishes, from my sick bed. ☺️

Wait until you see it. Little teaser: it’s a Buckminster Fuller double geodesic home.

News!

We are doing two Farmer’s Markets this summer!

Copley — every Friday
Roslindale — every other Saturday, starting July 25th

Stay tuned!

DONUTS

Do not miss the donuts this Saturday.

You have until 11:59 AM on Friday to get your orders in.

The Dixie donut is lemon cream. Oh baby.

Luscious lemon curd filled with fluffy whipped cream (dairy, DF, or vegan). (Photo version has no cream)

And to make it even better—every dollar is already committed to Dixie’s Redemption. Because of these donuts, she was able to pull two mama cats with 5–6 babies each who were about to be euthanized, plus 4 guinea pigs and a puppy with a broken arm.

Some California shelters give animals just two weeks. Then they’re gone.

Your donut helped save more than two dozen lives.

Bread This Week

Fresh from our ovens:

Teff Bread (DF) — loaves and rolls
Closest in taste to wheat. We don’t have it very often, so stock up!

Vegan Sourdough Bread
Slow-rise sourdough available as square loaves, boules, and rolls. A customer favorite—and yes, it freezes beautifully.

Bagel Reminder

🥯 Available every Friday by preorder, with limited extras in the shop.
